Data discovery

Data discovery refers to the identification, collection and analysis of information from various sources. Analysts use data discovery to uncover trends and patterns that exist within the data. Data discovery is often used to support business intelligence and make sense of big data sets from various sources and formats.

Many tools are used in data discovery to make the information more accessible and open to interpretation, including vision and optical character recognition, natural language processing and tagging.
