Great Place to Work Rates Insight Among Best Workplaces in Texas

Great Place to Work ranks best employers in Texas based on leadership, workplace culture and company values

TEMPE, Ariz., April 5, 2021 – Insight Enterprises (NASDAQ:NSIT), the global provider of Insight Intelligent Technology Solutions™ for organizations of all sizes, today announced its debut on Great Place to Work’s Best Workplaces in Texas™ annual list at No. 58 in the large business category.

Overall, Insight employs more than 350 teammates at offices in Austin, Plano and McAllen. The company’s North American client services for commercial small and midsize businesses is based in Austin, with the majority of web testing and web development for insight.com managed in Plano. Insight’s Texas team also performs global operations, teammate learning and development, along with delivering IT services and help desk support to organizations utilizing Insight’s Digital InnovationCloud + Data Center Transformation and Connected Workforce solutions to secure, optimize and adapt what they do for a more digital future.

Insight’s ability to help businesses and communities transform to meet contemporary needs has been most evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. A south Texas county, for example, has partnered with Insight on a community wireless broadband solution bringing free public Wi-Fi access to more than 30,000 students and teleworkers. Insight proposed a cost-effective strategy and design that leverages the county’s existing infrastructure – water tanks, lights and telephone poles – to deploy a secure wireless mesh network that brings much needed connectivity to families living below the poverty line across more than a dozen school districts. Insight will provide ongoing support services to ensure the network’s peak performance over the next three years.

“It’s a great honor to be celebrated by Great Place to Work for the everyday things we do to make life better for our clients through technology. Our Texas teammates are a wonderful example of our commitment to putting people first in all things. They exemplify Texas hospitality with a ‘go big or go home’ mentality. I describe Insight as a really big, small company – where we’re more of a family than a company – and you really feel this welcoming vibe because we have deep rooted relationships with our communities and one another,” said Tina Pangle, vice president of lifecycle strategy and global project management for business transformation, who leads Insight’s Plano operations.

Insight teammates are heavily involved in volunteer work within their Texas communities, including supporting local food pantries. Texas teammates annually are among Insight’s top contributors to the company’s nonprofit In it Together Foundation, which provides much-needed financial support to teammates in crisis situations and last year raised a record $750,000 to support 170 teammates in need. The Texas team also promotes Insight’s teammate resource groups (TRGs) to help facilitate a diverse, equal and inclusive workplace. Company culture also is enriched by several monthly team-building activities, ranging from virtual happy hours to homestyle barbeques.

To determine the 2021 Best Workplaces in Texas, Great Place to Work® analyzed confidential survey feedback from nearly 73,000 employees of Texas companies. Eighty-five percent of the evaluation is based on what employees say about their experiences of trust and reaching their full potential at their organization, no matter who they are or what they do. The remaining 15 percent of the rank is based on an assessment of all employees’ daily experiences of innovation, the company’s values, and the effectiveness of their leaders. To be considered, companies had to meet the Great Place to Work-Certified standard.

Insight also is ranked among the Fortune 2021 World’s Most Admired Companies, Fortune 100 Best Workplaces for Diversity, Forbes 2020 World’s Best Employers, Forbes 2020 Best U.S. Employers for Veterans, and achieved a near-perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s 2021 Corporate Equality Index.

“We’re honored to be recognized once again by Great Place to Work, and this can be attributed directly to our teammates’ commitment to our values-centric culture of hunger, heart and harmony,” said Jen Vasin, senior vice president, human resources, Insight North America. “We’re committed to empowering our teammates to be leaders at all levels of our business and to be their authentic selves each day they go to work. We also seek to be a champion of innovation and simplicity for our clients and communities as they turn to technology to improve how they work and live.”
