Insight’s Connected Workforce Team Named Worldwide Winner for 2018 Microsoft Modern Desktop of the Year

Insight also named a finalist for Customer Experience Partner of the Year and Financial Services Partner of the Year as well as winning AI Partner of the Year honors

TEMPE, Ariz., June 12, 2018 — Insight’s Connected Workforce Solution Area has been awarded the 2018 Microsoft Modern Desktop of the Year Award. Insight, the global provider of Intelligent Technology Solutions™ for organizations of all sizes, was honored among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions built on Microsoft technology.

Insight also has been awarded the 2018 Microsoft Worldwide Artificial Intelligence Partner of the Year and finished as a finalist for the Customer Experience Partner of the Year and Financial Services Partner of the Year awards.

Insight debuted a Device as a Service program in 2017 called Insight Managed Office that uses Microsoft technology to help digitally transform client services practices into modern workplaces. The full-service solution bundles devices, cloud applications and services to enable clients to adopt an IT-centric strategy to meet the demands of a changing workforce and rapidly evolving technology landscape.

“Intelligent technology revolves around adapting systems to the accelerated pace of business and the way employees interact with the digital ecosystem. The modern workforce is no longer tethered to a desk and now works across multiple devices,” said Brian Gatke, director of technical services, Insight. “Partnering with Microsoft helps our clients effectively navigate this change and take advantage of new business opportunities without compromising security or control of the technology.”

The Connected Workforce team worked with a Fortune 500 company on its journey to a modern workplace. This included deploying Office 365 for a more secure and reliable end-user experience, reducing IT service tickets by 90 percent, and decreasing the patching process time by 35 percent.

Insight also helped a U.S. airline transform its business. Initially the company requested help to migrate to Windows 10. But this evolved into a partnership to develop a modern workplace, including how the company licenses its machines, deploys and updates its software, and manages all devices with the new operating system.

“It’s a great example of facilitating a more efficient workplace within an industry that’s literally on the move. We helped a company hesitant to shift to the cloud realize greater productivity and simplify the end-user experience,” said David Mayer, vice president and general manager, Connected Workforce, Insight. “The modern desktop is ubiquitous, and mobile workers are more confident when they know they’re set up to work smarter with access to information when and how they need it.”

Microsoft awards were presented in several categories, with winners chosen from a set of more than 2,600 entrants from 115 countries worldwide.

“We are honored to recognize Insight as a Microsoft Worldwide Partner of the Year,” said Gavriella Schuster, corporate vice president, One Commercial Partner, Microsoft Corp. “Insight has distinguished itself as a top partner, exemplifying the remarkable expertise and innovation we see in our Microsoft partner community to deliver transformative solutions.”

The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year.

Among Insight’s other recognitions, its Digital Innovation Solution Area, BlueMetal, won the 2018 AI Partner of the Year Award and was named a finalist in the Financial Services Partner of the Year category for designing and developing a multi-channel conversational agent for a leading financial services provider. The first-of-its-kind AI allows customers to conduct financial transactions via social media. This contributed to a 72 percent increase in new accounts among millennials for the client.

Insight’s marketing team and Go-to-Market motion (GTM) was recognized as a finalist in Customer Experience for its U.S. GTM program, which uses a digital continuum to understand customers’ business challenges and engage them in meaningful ways along their IT buying journey.
